In the developing world, too many young people are put in the traumatic position of having lost both their parents due to tragic circumstances. These children are often forced to face horrific conditions in order to survive. It is a vulnerable population, filled with young people that need so many resources in order to be lifted out of dangerous environments.
Children who are parentless are of particular concern to us. Under the direction of President Dr. Moby Kazmi, COPILOT Cares has funded a number of orphanages in developing countries such as India, Pakistan, El Salvador, and Peru.
By joining the board of Bali Memorial Trust, Dr. Kazmi has further demonstrated commitment to this cause. With a connection to this organization, COPILOT Cares has been able to help sponsor shelters in Pakistan with room for close to 100 parentless girls (and growing). Our efforts provide clothing, food, school materials like books and backpacks, as well as access to self-esteem building activities.
In addition, in partnership with the Bali Memorial Trust, COPILOT Cares helps fund counseling to help these girls gain a sense of empowerment, leading them toward strength, stability, and self-sufficiency.
